Quick Question
When I punch the gas pedal on my car and the rpm's get up to about 5.5k, I noticed the headlights go dim and when the rpms go back down, the headlights go back to the normal illumination. Could this be a problem with the alternator? It has done this since it was new, I never thought anything of it until someone told me that it could be the alternator. The alternator has never been replaced or rebuilt and the car now has 153k on the odometer. Any ideas?? Thanks for your help in advance.
Mine kinda does that too.
I can really tell when i start from a stop. The rpms get really low when im starting from a stop. once i get higher in the rpms, they get brighter again. I think its because at low rpms, your car isnt making as much electrical charge as it is when its high in the rpms. My Beretta used to do the same thing. The headlights blinked bad when i went from Reverse to Drive or Neutral to Drive.
