your trunk or back end. If the trunk sits too low its because the latch isnt adjusted properly not because of whats in it.

I know this was just a thread to show off your box and subs but figured I would give you a hard time LOL.

Thats a good amount of port surface area for 35Hz tuning freq.

Does your amp have a subsonic filter, so that you can block freq's below 35.

Which subs are they? they look like W7's or earthquake.

I used to compete in autosound, but I'm in graduate school and I need to do a little focusing

I want to get back into it, but here in the northeast autosound competitions are pretty much dead. So it more worth while to go sound quality rather than spl. I usually try to do both anyway.

not shivas, they are actually the kove armeggedon z-12s are dual 4 ohm, from parts express with no markings on them. and the amp is a concept 2400a rated at 2400rms at 1 ohm. i think the trunk weight is up to around 250-300 pounds, with extra battery amp, sub boxes, subs, and 3/4 mdf floor, and 4 rolls of peal and seal. it doesnt rattle much because i cut a huge hole in the rear deck and used a lot of expanding foam. also the boxes hardly fit.

they are large subs, check out the picture of one compaired with a fosgate power hx2 15 which has a 300 oz magnet.

I had a 12" kove armaghedon a few years back. Giving it 600rms (1200peak) I hit 141 decibels, I beat everyone in my class at the time. It was good for competition, but I like more low bass, I got lucky and was able to get rid of it.

The one I had, had the kove emblem on the front. I think all the new ones don't have it, so its not just what parts express is carrying. IMO it looks better with marking, otherwise it looks generic. They probably had trouble keeping the paint from comming off at high spl lol.

2 will give you enough low bass, enough to make a maximas rear view fall off, and you know they are screwed to the roof, but that was probably due to the higher bass frequencies around 44 hz. and this sub is not the new koves that have a plain dust cap. these are the same motor, coil, basket as the koves, but have a different dust cap different cone and maybe a different surrounds. the specs stay very close. my guess is kove sold parts express some left over parts of subs due to a new product line. and also they have no kove markings on the magnet like kove does.
