Automatic Chokes

Hey people, pretty good site by the way. There's some funny fellas and comments upon here.

Today i got a little problem of my own, i've been trying to look in the previous threads, but can't seem to find an answer.

I have a Nissan Maxima 89, Automatic with 190K.

When the car gets warm the rmp rises up and down. And sometimes, when the rpm's drop, the car wants do die almost like choking. When it does i give it a little gas and sometimes stops.

If someone has any idea of what it could be or know what i could do to solve this problem well please help me out.

Thanks to all

The Mahvelus
