intrax or eibach

Which one should I get? I read that the intrax are too low and bottom out but have a nice ride. I read the eibachs are not low enough and are of poorer quality and uneven hight. Which one works best on our maxima?

eibachs are very good quality and provide very nice handling. I haven't heard of uneven height with them

Some people think they dont lower the car enough (1-1.5" or so) but I think they look pretty nice. I have eibachs and there are lots of pics on my homepage if you want to see them.

+1 for eibach

too low, or not low enough is entirely personal preference. I believe Eibachs have the stiffest ride, but that also makes them handle the best. I believe they are also the most expensive.

Eibach is the company that all others use when they want quality.
95% of the quality coilover kits produced use eibach springs.
I do sell both brands though

EIBACHS!! The drop is all personal preference. But uneven height and poor quality!!!?? I haven't heard that one. Eibachs RULE. But most say they don't drop the car enough. For me, it got dropped perfectly!!! Just today, I had my track wheels on and I couldn't get out of the driveway b/c my car is too low. The crossmember scraped.

I didn't do Intrax b/c it was WAY to low for me. I simply wanted the best handling spring out there. And Eibach and Intrax are probably it. The only question you have to ask now is if you want 1.2" or close to 2" drop.

My eibachs went from 4.5 fingers to 2 fingers all around. But I've heard that the previous owner of these springs had a very low ride height. Lower than most with eibachs. I have pics on my website.

been there done both...

just depends on what you want. the intrax have performed up to my standards like eibachs did. i'm sure the eibachs would out handle on a road track but for street?....eh either or work for me

depends on if you want slammed or just a nice drop.

I like Chris have had both. I like the look of the intrax over the Eibach but I dont mind a bigger drop since I dont drive the car every day. My sig pic is on intrax...right after I did them. They are slightly lower now. It is a nice even drop.

i have intrax...and ive ridden in a max with eibachs...i personally like the intrax just because they are more of a drop...but for performance...i believe eibach is a little stiffer...but they both handle extremely well

It is personal preference when choosing between them. There is no proof that either one handle better. They are both progressive springs, with slightly different spring rates. My Intrax have a smooth ride, no complaints here and I am sure Eibach should be the same. Both are quality springs, at around the same price. Of course I like Intrax cause of the PERFECT height. Eibach still looks stockish to me and MOST that will look at it.

What do you want?

Exactly right! It's all about what ride height you want. I'm sure both will handle the same. But with Eibach, people will think you still have the stock ride height. They don't know that the 3rd gen Maxima was originally meant for off road use.

But my ride height is the perfect height FOR ME. I can't get out of my steep driveway with my track wheels on without the dang crossmember scraping. I'm so glad I didn't go with Intrax. Any lower than this and I couldn't drive the car in Vegas. Vegas has some STUPID parking lot entrances. VERY steep. You'll be fine in Socal. There are so many low riders and slammed cars in SoCal and they don't have much of a problem. If you care about looks what so ever, I recommend Intrax. But they just weren't for me since I'm all about performance and not looks. So I didn't need the drop that Intrax provides.

I'm with Aaron, but I think my Max sits alot lower than stock. If I went with Intrax I'm more than positve I wouldn't be able to make it into my garage. I have a sort of steep curb entry.

Eibachs may not look like much of a drop with the car by itself but side by side with a stock max it looks much lower.

Here is a pic of Craig B's car next to my stock 92GXE...you can definitely tell a difference. Craig has Eibachs
