Those with eibachs...

I'm trying to figure out why some cars have the front spring popping issue and some don't. I'm starting to think only sport package cars have the issue. Also, I have had the updated front springs eibach sent me in for a few weeks now, and have no more front end noises while turning the wheels.

SV premium here and i have gotten those noises before on the front passenger side spring. Install is perfect, with the spring seated properly, as I have put springs on a few cars now. I checked every piece of the suspension there down to bushings and retorqued.

I jacked the car up and checked the spring seating too...everything is good. I have some vinyl tubing on the spring to eliminate that possibility and I even lightly greased the "cup" of the rubber insulators top and bottom of each spring to eliminate any issue with the slight popping. Guess what? Still there although only happens randomly every couple of weeks. I have had no actual problems with install on the car itself other than that random noise

If you went this route and it worked, I'm inclined to believe the original design was defective. I will pursue this when I am ready to change struts out down the line.

I have to say this makes me look at eibach in a different way. The spring is defective. They know this, yet they still persist to delay making it right for those that have discovered they have a defective spring/set because eibach wants to keep selling the existing manufactured lot of which there will be other defects based on their original design. That's funny to me and very bad business. If a customer tells you they have a defective part that is contributing negatively to their car, which has had the suspension issue thoroughly checked, then the part should be replaced end of story. Especially when your own company acknowledged the design should be modified and was subsequently modified. I wont purchase anything else from them going forward. I had tein springs on the 6th gen and I only got these because options were limited at the time.

I bought the Megan racing SV Street series coil over and had them installed this week. So far I have had zero issues. Tight and no sounds. Glad I didn't get Eibach.
