Which corners?

If i was to get the BMW E36 headlights, would I be able to use the corners for the E36 or would i use the corners that go with my car, or does it really matter?

Chris

P.S. My first post too.

if you did want to use the e36 corner, you would have to modify the fender and the brackets and such. to my knowledge, this has not been accomplished yet.

everyone uses the maxima corner when doing this mod since the e36 lamp is approximately the same size as the 3rd gen lamp. to make the light look good though, you will need to follow awsm's and craig's example. they cut the bmw lens off and used clear headlight covers to fab a stock looking lens on a non-stock housing.

as far as maxima corners go, you have a few options: stock, clear, or euro. the e36 conversion looks best with euros in my opinion.

good luck

Yeah someone did the body work and put the BMW corners on their car. It was that blue one that was for sale on ebay a while back. The new owner did some more work on it and the corners was one of the things he did.

Before I got my UKs I considered doing this but never really put much effort into it and shortly got my UKs so it didnt matter.

just use your stock corners.

hmm, i didnt know that. did any pictures ever surface with the bmw corner?

appearance wise, i think the maxima corner is the way to go anyways.

yeah someone posted it on here but I cant remember who. I dont think I saved the pics either which is odd considering I try to save all maxima pics I come across. Its the guy that notched his hood to fit the bmw lights.

speedy89 for your E36 conversion just get some clear corners and send them to me to clear coat tint to look similar to the UKs...I just did another set for someone this weekend.
