Tinted Corners

Just thought I'd share with you guys: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/397303

Got them back on tuesday. Much thanks to Michael (awsm66) for the superior work he did. It might be difficult to see from the pics, but the corners match perfectly with the headlights. I could not ask for a better tint job and I'm really glad I didn't go with the spray-on stuff.

Oh man, you think you were creeped out. The pic of the guages I took first. I didn't really look at it until later on when I noticed the Maxima tail lights and I thought ok, maybe it was there and I didn't see it (however I'm always aware of what's around me on the road, especially if there are other Max's nearby). The other phantom Max pic I saw after I uploaded them onto my computer (just minutes after I had taken them). When I noticed there was another Maxima further down the street I went outside to check it out and poof, no such car parked. I could almost swear there was nothing there when I took the pic too. Yeah, either my camera or my car is haunted.

Cool I am glad you are pleased. You need to fix your camera though.

Here they are after I finished with them (for others benefit since you have seen them)

I have another pair I am doing this weekend and hopefully will have my fenders back on my 92. I may stick my bmw lights on and put the corners on for some pics.

Shaved...I agree...I am not messing with it right now though because I am doing home remodeling.

I still plan on having it finished this summer though.

No.

There is no way I would charge so much for nightshades. Night shades has to be put on too dark IMO or it will look bronze instead of the greyish color like the UKs and they will fade over time.

I use actual automotive clear coat with a special blend of mixing paint mixed in. It will not fade and it doesnt look bronze.

Nightshades=spray can

Mine=spray equipment, sanding, buffing, polishing...perfection LOL.

trust me its like night and day difference in person between the 2.

Dont get me wrong I am not ******* nightshades or anyone else that has used it but its the same thing as painting your car with spray paint or actual paint...the quality will be worlds apart. And I just dont like the color of nightshades or the darkness you have to put it on for it to look good. That is just my opinion though and the reason I came up with the mixture I did for the color of tint I do.

Look up a couple of posts for what I use (actual automotive clear just like is used on your car).

Do you have any pics of how they look at night? Does the light go through easily? BTW, very nice work. A must with E36 lights.

Thanks,

oh yeah light goes through them just fine. They really are not that dark the way I do them. Just about the same as the UKs.

Here are a couple of pics when I did my first set a while back.

The right one (on the left looking at the pic) is the tinted one and the left one is the UK one.

same here except with the flash on.

both corners are using stock bulbs.

do the lights have to be the clear corners, or would they look the same with the orange corner?

Just the angle and lighting. You really need to see them in person to appreciate them. Not sure why but they just dont photograph well...even the photos I have on my hood look darker than they are.

It is darker in the orange area. I did a set like that when I was testing colors and such. I can get a pic of it tomorrow and post. Doesnt look too bad but not as good as the clears.

True, they really do look much better in person. Also, I have blue bulbs in my corners. I'm not sure whether or not that contributes to how dark they are or not.

So to buy them from you, I have to send some clears in and have you do them? Or is it $40 for clears that you buy and tint them?
