Man , I m getting frustrating with the engine.

Today , I had a long day and probably did the ten hour worked on my car today and took off the front end. Anyways , I am wondering if any one of you guys know what is the major problem with the idle engine when I put the shift in drive ( automatic ) then the engine goes like low idle n shaking. When put the shift in as P ( park ) it goes smooth. I checked on the ECU and there isnt no ECU codes came on then I tried to adjust the ecu so it came up the same but little better. I was thinking probably the EGR vavle or maybe a new spark plug wire whatever it is called. ? I already had the engine tuned up like spark plug , fuel filter and PVC vavle ( I haven't put PVC vavle in it yet.) Anyone know what is the problem?

Thanks.

What do you mean by "adjust" the ECU?

You mean maybe you have a bad coil pack, since there are no spark plug wires?

Another possibility is the throttle position sensor, but I can't tell without looking at it.

He might mean the "idle adjuster" thing on the computer behind/under the stereo, when I stripped my car I saw it and wanted to play around with it but decided it was for the better if I didn't...

What i mean was is that there is a adjust to turn it up or down with a screwdriver right next to the code number. Thats right there is no spark plug wire but I don't know what it is called , You are right it is coil pack.
Where is throttle position sensor located at?

PS: The person who used to own the car , He is extremely unfit to own the maximas cuz It came out with a grime ( you name it anything ). Some of things that got replaced yesterday and everything came out BLACK like fuel filter , throttle body , air filter, spark plug and oil.

BTW , I wanted to make sure where the ECU code located at , is it on the right side on the ECU where there is adjusting right next to the code number?

The only thing I know when I turn the key igintion on the red light goes on before it starts up and theres no code light on.

does it also kind of stumble when it's idling and you turn the AC or headlights on?

if it only has idle problems when its in drive maybe its the torque converter not slipping

at what rpm does it idle at in park

at what rpm does it idle in drive
