OK juist to clarify first off the active speakers are clarion correct? the original speakers are gone but the amp is still there, woudl this amp be useful in powering a set of aftermarket speakers (now it is bypassed).
Also in the loom that goes to the amp there must be a remote on and also a 12v power wire.Would these handle enouhg power to drive a kenwood 85watt bass cannon? I dont mind running wires from the front the correct way but if this is already done![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Also I know wiht the bose setup there is an amp for the front speakers,is this also true with the clarion? I know my fronts are louder and are very clear where the rear ones basically sound like crap (cheap speakers too).
What si the power output from the amps for the front and the rear?

That stock amp back there isn't putting out much power. It's better to drive aftermarket speakers with the head unit itself, or get a 4 channel amp and power your speakers that way. That power wire that goes to that amp is very small, so again, it's better to run a power wire from the battery to the trunk. 10 gauge wire will sulfice, since that Kenwood bass cannon is only putting out 85 watts. Step up to a thicker wire if you're planning to upgrade to a more powerful amp/sub in the future.

I never even looked at the power supply wire actually, the remote wire to turn the amp on should be fine though wouldnt it? For the sub I was only going to go with either a 10 or 12 gauge with an inline fuse, someday I may upgrade (wont be for a while) but at that point I will just buy one of the complete wiring kits for it so i have fancy colorful wires :P
