Last night - in a matter of 30 minutes - I re-wired my driving lights so that they could be on with the parking lights. While driving in to work this morning on the highway to Atlanta, a black SE (just like mine) pulled in front of me so as to cruise (that always feels good). I had all my lights on, but thought that I should show off the new cool look. So I cut off those headlights and could just feel his envy as I felt him looking in his rear view mirror.

Love those cheap (free) MODS!

where in ATL are you?
I live in Duluth, work at 316/Sugarloaf, go to school at GT (when I'm at school, I live in the dorms there)

I live up in Woodstock and work in Atlanta. I actually have 250,000 miles on my Maxima. Since most of them are highway miles, the car just looks great. It's a 33 mile drive one way.

I don't quite understand how you re-wired your headlights. Are you trying to say you wired up your headlights so they turn on along with your parking lights?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had no clue what he was talking about.

Either he has aftermarket driving lights, or he thinks he has driving lights when he really has fog lights.

What he did was wire the fog lamp's +12 on the relay to get a signal when the parking lamps do instead of the head lamp low beam signal. This way, the fogs stay on with high beams too.

Common mod, many have done it. It is much cooler.

fog lights, driving lights...what ever. What Kaleb said is correct. Instead of the fog relay signal source coming from the L headlamp voltage supply, it is coming from a parking lamp 12V supply. And these are the factory fog lights.

Soon as it warms up here (which probably won't be until mid-July) I'm gonna get out there and do my mods.

I hate driving in Atlanta! I just came back from there for a convention in the Sherraton Downtown. On the way, I had been given crappy directions, I even stopped at a Post Office and a Fire Station, no one knew how to get me to downtown!! I found the Midtown Sherraton, while crossing the street, I hit this guy! Just paint scrapes, but I was pissed! Eventually, after 1 1/2 hrs we found the right hotel. UUURRRRRGGGHHH!! I'm just glad we decided to take my wife's Grand Am! My Max was tucked in safe in the garage!

Sorry, car. It just blackened his mag and scuffed his back bumber a little. He said he would get the alignment checked to make sure it wasn't off where I hit him. Really nice guy, considering. Paint was just scuffed on my wife's car, nothing busted. But, I did get a book autographed by Bandura at the SEPA (PSYCHOLOGY) convention.....uhm, does anyone know who he is? The guy that did the "monkey" studies of the surragate mothers! No matter, he's famous for those of you that don't know.

it's on my site; click on my car for info

the pics on the site may not work, if they don't, right clikc on the red X and go to properties, then copy and paste the location for the pic
once you have done that, you should be able to go back to the page and it will work

email me if you have any questions
