I don't really like the color but nice find. Too bad I won't be buying a CAI for a long time.

I just read in the 4rth gen forum someone did a study with thermocouples and the shorty intake replacement with a cone on the end near the battery was the best location, in the 4th gen... not sure about us...

There is a $60 ebay one out there too...not in canada... look around for it.

for a better sounding one just put a cap where the resonator is...sounds real nice with the stock intake...

I just wonder if that goes into the fenderwell. That's the one I'm looking for.

FNG, are you sure? I know it says that it just bolts right on without modification. I emailed them about it.
1989MaxMan, where is the $60 CAI? I know there used to be one but I think they stopped making them for a while.

yes it goes in the fender well. It is shaped just like the PRI and the $60 shipped aluminum one from ebay.

According to my calculations, that auction is about $90 + whatever shipping/duty etc...Nice looking though

Yeah, $90 plus shipping, hmmm, and no one else has bought one that I know of. They still havn't got back to me with the info about drilling the hole or whatever, but from what you guys said it does go into the fenderwell. I'm not too thrilled about the color, but I might just get some of that CAI wrap anyway to keep it even cooler.

Near the bottom of the auction, they state that other colours are available.

I'll let everyone know how it turns out I didn't see any other CAI's listed on their website for our cars, but maybe they are going to start making them or something. It even comes with a sticker because I used "Buy It Now", that should add about another 2 WHP.

after I looked at the pic, is it just me or does it seem like that piping would place the filter right about where the battery is?

Its just you...as I said in my earlier post. It looks just like the PRI and aluminum one I have...the bends are identical so it will fit just like the PRI and the cheap aluminum one from ebay.

They way they have it sitting is kinda deceiving and that is why you may think that.
