Well, my tach has gone haywire. It used to drop to zero for a few seconds while driving, and then go right back up. Today, however, it went all the way north and is now stuck way beyond the redline. So what gives? My speed sensor? I could have sworn there was a similar thread a few weeks back, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

Before you go out and spend money just go ahead and check the connections in the back of your gauge pod. After that I don't know where to point ya, but you usually don't need your tach unless you are racing.

Thanks for the input guys. I think what happened was that whatever was causing the tach to go all over the place, got it to 6k or so and then just let go, so gravity did the rest and brought it all the way down. I will first try just turning it back manually after removing the cover.

I DO need the tach, though man! Racing or no racing, it's gotta be functional! It looks like the lamest @$$ thing in my car right now!

Pleased to announce that my tach needle has found its way back. One second it was @ 8500, the very next, back to 750 at idle. So at least for now, the problem has resolved itself! Thanks for all the input y'all!
