Oil Pump??? or Worse

I have picked up a 93 SE and plan on turning it into an audio demo car for the car sterio store that i own. the car is in good shape, but one thing really concerns me. when i start it there is a loud clatter coming from the engine. after the car is warmed up it does not do it. sometimes it will do it while driving, but i just have to give it a little gas to make it stop. What do you guy's think???

I had the same problem too, for the past 2 months I've been experimenting and found that using 10w30 castrol syntec and toyota filter stopped the ticking clatter of the VTC and runs beautifully. before this I used mobil 1 5w30 and 10w30 with the rare nissan filter. see if that helps, more info on toyota filter in the fluids and lube stickies.
