Why does the fuse keep blowing out?

Yesterday , I had a car broken down cuz the battery went dead then this morning that I found there wasnt no plug on the alternator which the mechanic forget to put on that f8ckin ****ed me off. So then I put the plug on into alternator and started up the car , In few miles I drove the car on the highway then a battery signal light went on and there wasnt alot of power to push it . I had to turn back and drive back home then it went dead. I checked the fuse box inside on the driver side and found a engine control fuse got blowed then I replaced it n drove less than a mile and it kept blowing. I think , it might be some wire touching on the metal ? Maybe I should put high output like 20-a fuse instead 10-a? Any ideas why did it happened? Some info will be appreciated.

Did you charge the battery fully before starting it up after connecting the alternator, also, you might wanna check the wire at the alternator's end, mine burned up!

Not sure...I creamed a puddle, im missing a splashguard, and it killed my alternator...so i replaced it, and my car kept dying still, the cord from the alternator to the battery burned up at the altnators end...I replaced the terminal and its all good
