My daughters 92 VE has been running kind a crappy for a few weeks now.....Not much power, missing, ect. I took it for a drive and I fired down on the engine, then all of a sudden I hear a loud exhaust leak in it now....but wait.....the engine now runs like a raped ape, full power, no heaitation, no misses.....WTF

sounds like a clogged cat to me as well, then it finally blew something out of the way in front of it. most likely the flex pipe..

 

the same thing happened to me. I am just waiting for the time and money to fix it. It is annoying as hell when you can't hear the person next to you in the car because of all of the exaust noise.
