Removing broken antenna?!?!?

Here's the situation. I have a broken antenna on a '90 non-Bose Max with an aftermarket HU. The mast is snapped off all the way down to the collar. The motor is already removed, but I can't get the collar off to remove the whole unit. I'm planning on replacing it with a rubber mast. Ideas? Thanks.

disconnect power antenna on my 91 max

On the same subject, how to disconnect the power antenna motor ? I just want it to stop working until I replace the Antenna.

I've looked at the wires around the motor, can't figure out which one. Also, there's no fuse for it.

Thanks

David

@fugi43...

Thanks for posting that link, bro. I bought a replacement antenna mast from eBay for $18 and followed those instructions to replace the mast. Was fortunate I didn't have to remove the power antenna assembly because the old antenna mast pieces were all gone - took all of about 10 minutes or so to replace with those instructions & works perfectly!!! Many thanks!!! Those instructions made it easier to follow than the ones provided with the new antenna mast.
