Broken Gas Line

Hey folks I'm a newbie to the forum and have a question (haven't searched yet). I have a broken gas line near the tank and the shop tells me that it's six hours labour to repair. They think they might break the brake line too. I've never heard of six hours to repair two lines. Does that sound about right to you....it's a '92!

Love the Maxima.

shouldn't take 6 hours, and the brake lines shouldn't be a problem. I'd take it to a different mechanic.

Well, two mechanics have said "six hours"......it appears that the tank needs to be dropped out. Wow. Never had to drop the tank for a broken gas line before...also never seen a gas line bolted together with a brake line. Probably resulted in efficient manufacturing, but ouch!

So be it....in she goes....maybe we'll get the exhaust upgraded while we're at it.

If it's the filler tube leading to the tank that's a recall and should be fixed for free.
