major problems

major problems

first of all i have a bad altenator but i bought a new one. i want to know is it easy to put n can someone please give me the steps on putting it in? it is da first belt. my car will not cut on no more n it has a brand new battery. second my locks dont work no more. i can unlock da door with the key but wen i pull on da handle it doesnt open. wat must be wrong? it has these numeber things on da door could dat be the problem? n how can i over ride that?l

That's a basic maintance(sp?) thing
Even a chiltons manual will tell you how to do it

look at that link, go through the first 11 steps and you can get the belt off
also,check out the how-to for installing an underdrive pulley, it also talks about how to remove belts. I'm not gonna give you the direct link though because it looks like you could use some practice on the internet.

I'd suggest getting a Haynes or Chiltons manual at PepBoys or wherever to help out with basic car stuff. It's only $15 or so and will help a lot.
