possible tranny problem

While driving my max earlier, the car starting shifting really funny. kind of like the MAF sensor is plug in or something. But the car when I take my foot off the gas pedal, it'll shift into neutral and when I step on the gas it'll shift into the right gear and then jump gear back and forth between the previous gear and the next gear. Anyone have a clue as to what might be the problem? Its a automatic tranny.

sounds like a couple of problems.
Misadjusted TPS (gear hunt problem)
Shifter bushings (jumping in and out of neutral)
I'd say take it to a trans shop but most will instantly tell you that you need a trans without finding the real problem(s).
