Suspension

Does anyone with Sprint lowering springs have problems w/ bottoming out or anything? I'm getting my springs replaced, but I don't have the money to go with the Eibach's. Plus, I want a little lower of a drop than the Eibach's. How are the Suspension Technique lowering springs? Are they very good? I need to get the best drop without sacrificing where I can drive. Thanks in advance.

Either your driving in the woods or your sway bar links are messed up in the front. I have sprints, and i was bottoming out will I changed my sway bar linkage. I bottom out like 1once a week when I hit corners too fast.

you should def. go with intrax springs. 1.8" all around and handle very good. I belive they are cheaper than sprint too. check with internetautomart

If they ARE cheaper, then it's a recent price change. I got MY Sprint/ST combo about 18 months ago, and every once in a while, I bottom out. But on the same hand, with my Stillen front lip, I'm about 2 in from the ground, as well... So I'm surprised that I don't bottom out more often.

But the roads here aren't all that bad. But if I EVER move to another spot in the US, I'm going back to stock or I'm getting a less-agressive drop. There's NO WAY on God's green earth that I can ride like this in Chicago (where I'm from) and NOT expect to tear the entire undercarriage out from under me.

MaximaBalla...

I just got a set of used ST springs from a guy who had them on a 93 GXE. Will let you know once I get my shocks/struts/springs installed how my setup is working out for me. I'm budgeting on the Tokiko blues, but I've heard some good & bad things about them, especially concerning lowering springs. It's either the Tokiko blues or the KYB GR-2s at this point because $$$ is definitely a factor in my decision too.

Oh yeah btw, I was running sprints with OEM struts for a long time, they killed the struts, and i do remember bottoming out quite a bit. BUT, i put in some KYB2 and I don't botttom out often at all.

@therealgoon9...

Have you had any issues with the Sprint/KYB setup? I'm trying to decide between going with Tokiko blues & KYB GR-2's with my ST springs, and, if I'm not mistaken, the Sprint springs have a lower drop than the ST's do. Was wondering if you've had any issues with the KYBs as far as leakage or any other mechanical problems with them. I'd like to get the KYB's as long as they'll hold up under the lowered conditions of the ST springs. I've heard mixed reviews on both the Tokiko's and the KYB's, so I'm trying to get as much info on them as possible before I get them.

How are the KYB GR-2's with SE springs installed on a GXE?
