Smelling Gas

Smelling Gas

i have a 93 max GXE, when i stop i start smelling gas, but my car doesnt leak anything nor does my gas run out quick, any ideas what it may be?

leak in your exhaust line would be my guess.

Check the hoses that are connected to the fuel rail when the car is running, especially the one on the passenger side. If they are leaking a little, you can probably just tighten up the hose clamps on em.

I have the same problem with my GXE too. It's when I either hit the brakes hard or I accelerate real fast.

my max did that about a year ago... it was a breather hose (not the filler neck, which is a recall btw). very small, near the tank under the left rear of the car. creep under there and look for cracks.
