k, i got my new corner replacement today, apparently the old owner of this car swiped a parked car and it cause it to pop out by almost a full inch. so i undid the screw by the headlight assembly and yanked it out, only seeing one bulb harness that looked pretty easy to remove. however,im findin my self having a real hard time gettin the sucker off, it looks like it just has 2 prongs that need to be pushed in and then yank it back, however that aint working. could someone point me in the right direction on what to do, i feel like an idiot not even being capable of disconnecting a damn housing attachment without breaking it

 

Well, I'm pretty sure there are 2 sockets in the corner light, in fact I'm positive, one for the back and one for the front, and I'm also pretty sure you have to push in and turn the sockets before they'll come out...good luck.

 

ya those werent hard to get off or anything, but im replacing the entire light assembly with clear corners, and im talking about the harness that connects the 3 wires to the rest of the assembly. i tried again this morning and all im getting are blisters on my hands from tryin to pop those suckers out.

 

You don't need to replace those unless they're fried. If you're doing a corner replacement then all you need to change is the housng.

 

there is a little tab that needs to be pushed in and then pull out it

if the tab is hard to push, use a small flathead or something similar to push that part while you pull on it

 

k ill mess with it some more in a bit, thats what i had been doing with the flathead but its not budging. by the way, how you like your dash kit? ive got the same thing on my black max... its cool and all cept it looks like the extreme weather conditions are starting to break down the adhesive

 

I had the same prob with my corners. I used an eyeglass flathead screwdriver. After I was able to wiggle it up a tiny bit I shoved the little screwdriver down into the slot to get the notch past the slot and unhooked the male from the female plug. It was definately a pain in the @$$.

 

I like the dash kit a lot. I think it's something different for the interior. It's kinda ricey, but oh well I did have a little bit of a problem with the edges of one piece coming up (under the clock area) so I just put a small bit of superglue under it and that took care of it

 

k, i got them corners on, just took a little elbow grease. just got my alpine type x component se t in the mail, im off to cut holes in the door panel for my tweets
