another bmw question

hey so i wanna order these but i read on another auction that the low beams are h4s and the highs are 9005, so is this true and i dunno anything about h4s so do i have to buy like a HID kit or can i do an upgrade wiring harness and install this. also, to the VA people, coughcough ReyGarcia cough, is this setup gonna make me fail inspection, i heard something about aftermarket HIDs illegal??

thanks the link below is the lights

No need for an HID kit. I got the SAME ones, hooked it works awesome. I bought heavy duty Pluggs for the bulbs. They'll pass inspectionm so long you don't put in different color lights for the halo rings.

GET EM! Pretty cool beem pattern too.

Just upgrading to e36 headlights or even euro e36 projectors will make a BIG difference over stock 3rd gen lights.

Below is a picture of my e36 M3 with euro projectors (ZKW) and Catz 5100K HID, vs my 93 Maxima with Silverstar's (stock Maxima headlights):

I honestly think the Maxima headlights are very lacking... I almost don't want to drive them at night anymore (well, I guess the M3 is a little more fun as well!)

Who's the one that posted instructions on how to install these? I think I'm going to make this one happen since all you guys are co-signing for how good these projectors are, and the side-by-side comparison Hornswoggler just presented is evidence enough for a change.

I think the chrome ones will look good on my car, especially since everything else is cleared out in front...
