Moon Roof Removal

Can someone tell me how to start on repairing the moon roof? The Chilton shows pictures but doesn't tell you anything. I know there are some screws to remove, but how do you get to them. Is it necessary to remove part of the headliner? If someone knows, can you give me a little guidance. The panel below the glass will only go back about six inches, and then stops. I'm afraid I'll tear something up if I force it. I'll appreciate any help.

1)from inside the car, remove two plastic trim pieces, one on each side of the sunroof. One screw each. These cover eight 10mm nuts in four pairs that hold the sunroof glass in. Just remove the nuts, and the sunroof glass comes right out. There are shims at each of the 4 stud pair locations. Note where they go and how many at each spot.
2) start your car and use the sunroof switch to get the sunroof mounts in the position like the sunrooof was retracted into the roof.
3)from the top of the car (outside), you can now remove the shade out by working it out.

Thanks. My problem was that the inside cover would not go back far enough to see the screws. I forced it back (don't know what that did) and can now see the screws. Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it.
