MAF sensor problem
MAF sensor problem
I have a major problem on my MAF. I took it apart to clean it in hope that maybe it just need to be clean. but now it doesn't seem to work at all. Any way i can bypass the MAF sensor until a new MAF comes in? In case your wondering, the car acts like the MAF sensor is unplug all the time now. Before it would do this something, which is why I thought it might just need to be clean.
Well, what I did was unscrew the 4 screw that held the little connector piece to the MAF and clean it with CRC: QD electronic cleaner and also the screen on the MAF sensor. Didn't spray any into the opening from the connector piece because I didn't know what exactly was in that piece. So now my car doesn't seem to want to run any longer with the current MAF sensor.

yeah. I tried taking one apart once, but it wasn't playing along so I just stopped (didn't want to risk breaking it).
The problem is you have to remove those screens to clean the sensor part. I havent really looked into it much
