Who has installed a 2k muffler on a 3rd gen?

The reason I ask this question is because I just bought a 2k2 muffler and I have a theory on how it can be put on my car. First though, I wanted to see how some others have done it. I know of only a few, but I cant remember the names. Matt have you done this setup?

Hopefully he'll reply soon. Wasn't there another person or couple of people besides him?

i've done it...pretty simple install. you will need a new b-pipe since the inlet of the new muffler isn't in the same spot as the stock muffler. once that's done you can use all of the original rubber hangars to hang the muffler (barring the 2nd gen is setup like a 3rd gen of course )

I had it installed on my old 3rd gen. It has a side inlet, rather than center, so my mechanic bent a small s-pipe and used it to connect the muffler to the stock b-pipe. Cost $20. The muffler hangers work, but occasionally one of them would come loose.I was going to put a cap on it to prevent it from happening but then I sold the car. It looks and sounds really nice.

Thanks. I was thinking of the s-pipe thing for my set up too. Wouldnt that cause back pressure and restriction though?
