i need help with my 91 maxima!!!!!!!!

my 91 maxima does not want to start anymore.
as i was driving on the freeway, the check engine light came on.
A second later the car just turned off.
when i tryed to start it again it sounded like if only the starter was turning. but i looked at the belts to see if the crankshaft was turning and it was so that told me the flywheel was turning.
So i asked someone what could it be he told me the timing belt i checked and the belts teeth were half gone. so i change it and aligned everything back up but it still makes the same noise and wont start.
can anyone help me.

you can also e-mail me at tomasperez04@aol.com.
thanks......

If half the teeth were missing, does it seem like it may have jumped timing alot? It is an interference engine, so if the t-belt jumped alot it seems like there could have been valve/piston contact. Is the timing belt correctly installed now? Did it seem like the belt slipped alot? It could be other things, though.

can you say "I neglected my maintenance now I'm gonna pay"?
as said above you probably bent your valves, so you'll need at a minimum new valves, but probably just get another motor would be more cost effective.
and do the timing belt before the motor goes in the car....
