Ok I got codes in my ECU that were 13 and 34 coolant sensor and knock sensor. I was driving and my car just shut off. Earlier that day I got gas at an off brand station.

So my question is what made the car just shut off?

If its bad gas how do i fix the problem.. and do i still need to change the sensors?

And what would you do!?

i would throw in some octane boost (i know i know it wont make much of a difference but it might help in this situation) and when you get to 1/2 or even 3/4 id fill up again with premium to try and even it out.


But i could be full of shiat, was it running ok before it shut down?

 

if it's a knock sensor, then just do what the other guy said. Dump in a bottle of octane boster (w.common sense depending on how much gases are in the tank). Then pop in a new pack of ngk v copper spark plugs. All six plugs cost around $11. See what happens...cuz this sounds like your ignition timing was set too high and you're using lower octane gas which causing all kinds of problems. Btw, by defaul the factory setting at 15 is considered high. Anyway, that's just my educated guess.

 

It was running good and like 3 minutes b4 it cut off in the street it was slightly bucking.. and it wouldnt accelorate for nothing....

The tank is 3/4 full so what should i do... i know bad gas can give u the detonation sensor code

yea... it never started after it died... thats what i forgot to mention.


It broke....
Tried changing distributor, cap, ignition coil.. and checked fuses.

Check ECU and it gave me codes 13 and 34
i THINK i have bad gas.
