new pics with stillen lip installed

I got the lip from JonnyMax on another board (THANKS!). He was giving it away but didn't want to ship so I had a friend pick it up in KC and ship it since she is working in the area. The paint is pretty good on it so I didn't have to get it repainted or anything. I mounted it last night and put my stock fogs back on today since it's got the cutouts for them and it looks like it's missing something without them. Apparantly this was Kaleb's lip before Jonny got it so it's been around.

Here are some pics

Darn it, man, my 2 "cosmetic" projects that I had in mind for the summer were tint and a front lip. You beat me to it!!! Lip looks sick.

[edit] How difficult was the install? Any special tools or adhesives required? [/edit]

Install wasn't too bad. I'd never done one before, but I talked to awsm66 (thanks) for advice.
I put a screw in the back in the wheel well and two up front near the fog light area. I used black oval headed screws so that I could countersink them somewhat and you cant see them. For the rest, I used 3M automotive trim adhesive tape (got it at wal-mart for $4) which is what others have recommended.
I used 3 or 4 4x6 boards to hold up the lip while I installed it. Dont expose all the back side of the tape at first, slowly pull it along and line it up in the groove. I did the pass side and then drivers side. I then went back and redid the pass side since I got better after the first one. I think it turned out pretty nicely. Luckily I didn't have to try to paint it
Take your time and make sure you have it all ready to go before you screw or tape anything. It's not too hard though

looking good Craig.

still wish you would have made it here for me to paint it but if the paint is fine no need in re doing it.

I guess we will just have to meet up in Bham again in a month or so after I do some more work on my car...or I will see you at NOPI.

the very first one is from my eye level, but if you're taller or shorter than 6'3", then it'd be a little different.
I assume you mean level with the headlights or something, right?

here's chris91se's car:

something like this height or what? are you looking for a pic specifically of my car or just one with a stillen lip or what?

those are both mine but before the lip so probably not what you're looking for
I could probably get one tomorrow after work if you really want

James,
I'll trade lights if you take the Nissan logo out of your grille - it looks like one of those old Sentras
I saw your pics the other day while I was waiting for the lip in the mail and they look great. I couldn't decide whether or not to put the stock fogs back on, but it looked like there was something missing without them after the lip was on and they fit in there very nicely so I think I'll keep them in.

I concur on the grille and badge. I had the badgeless VE grille for a long time and when I recently got a grille on there again I was like "dang everyone is badgeless now and I think the badge looks darn good" I even taped it off and painted it

And wow those 5th gen wheels look great

thanks guys

awsm66 - I'll let you paint the whole car later so dont worry

dkris - yeah, I did the headlights a while back the same way awsm66 did them. I actually told brandon90gxe about the idea and he was the first to do it, then awsm66, then me. I've heard the projectors are bigger and the wiring is a little different, but I have the stock E36s so I didn't have to mess with that. I think Brad92se has the projectors so check out his page. Also, check out some bmw forums and do some research there.

james/maximan - my car actually never even came with a grille logo so I dont even have one to put in. It looks good either way I think. Those 5th gen wheels look really nice on there too

max88q (qijuan or something like that?) - get the picture you want, right click on it and go to properties. Copy the address from that window. Then on here, click the little mountain picture above the post area (right under the size options; it says insert image if you hold the mouse over it), paste the address, then click the mountain pic again. It'll add [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ] before and after the address (without those spaces though, but it wont show up if I didn't have them). Try it out in the test forum; if you need more help, PM me

thanks, yup I just have the front. If I can get the rest of the kit free, I might consider it, but I doubt that's gonna happen
