charcoal grey paint and clear coat

Hey i was wondering if anyone here could help me out on finding the cheapest price for the OEM 94 Charcoal Grey paint from Nissan. i AM GOING TO THIS GUY THIS WEEK WHO HAS PAINTED FOR 25 YEARS NOW AND THATS HIS MAIN PROFESSION, AND HE HAS A FULL SHOP IN HIS GARAGE AND I WORK WITH HIS BROTHER, AND THE GUY SAID THAT IF I BOUGHT THE PAINT THEN HE WOULD DO IT FOR CHEAP. SO I DIDNT KNOW IF INTERNETAUTOMAR (I THINK THATS RIGHT>>) COULD GET IT OR IF ANYBODY HERE HAD A HOOK UP OR CONTACT. THIS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED CAUSE IM RUNNING ON LOW FUNDS AND NEED TO GET THIS PAINTED!!!!

sorry, caps button turned on and im too lazy to retype it all

LOL quit yelling at us.

are you painting the whole car? If so then PPGs Omni line of BC/CC will be fine. That is cheaper than their main brand and performs well from what I have heard. Plus their clear is crystal clear instead of yellowish like some other clears. Napa also carries a brand called Martin Senour. This is just rebadged Sherwin Williams paint. In the MS brand they carry a line called Crossfire which is also like the Omni paint (cheaper but good quality). DuPonts cheaper line is Nason...I painted my GXE with the Nason single stage urethane and it is pretty nice. They also have a BC/CC Nason line which I would recomend since you are painting it a metalic color because SSU is fine for solid colors but hard for metalics to lay right...though if he has painted for 25 years I am sure he can lay them down fine...still BC/CC offers more fade protection. These paints are fine for complete paint jobs but do not match and dont have a system to match the factory paints for a touch up job.

look in your local phone book for paint jobbers and then decide what brand you want to use from that list and go by and get quotes.

Just to warn you...paint is not cheap. Even the cheap stuff will run you close to $300 or more for the paint, clear, reducers, hardeners etc.

I would ask the guy that is doing the painting what brand he recomends since he may like one better than the other.
