fix my car's air conditioner? Its a 1993 GXE. When i turn on the air conditioner, it blows warm air. Could someone give me an estimate on how much it would cost? I don't want the mechanic ripping me off.
Thanks

$35 for a recharge kit from autozone. it will convert from r12 to r134 type freon. it comes with the hoses and the pressure gauge. It's fairly simple to do, just read the directions. If you're clueless and no nothing about cars or not very mechanically inclined then take it somewhere.

if you need any lines or a condensor, i've got all the lines (a/c worked fine when i removed it), the reserve tank thingy (silver canister)..i need to get rid of it and i'll take whatever for it, so dont go buying new stuff when you can do us both a favor (you take my stuff, you save money in doing so)

the "reserve tank thingy" is actually a water seperator/filter, you are supposed to replace it every time you open the A/C system to the outside air.
Which means when you replace any part of the system you should replace it
