Seatbelt chime!!! grrr....
I always wear my seatbelt and so do my passengers... Recently my seatbelt idiot light and chime have been comming on while I'm driving... Some times it shuts off when I jiggle(spelling?) the belt buckle in the latch and sometimes it goes off on its own... is this something I should be woried about / have checked... or is it just annoying? Nissan has a lifetime warrenty on the belts right?

I think it's something that's just annoying, nothing to actually be worried about when it comes to safety. There's a sensor in the driver's side latch that activates the light and chime during start up, to remind you to put on the belt. I would imagine that something with this sensor, or the wire to it, is the cause of the problem.

I had the same problem. Took it to the dealership and they only thing they did under warranty was replace the mechanical buckle latch that moves along the track. Did not fix the problem. I took it apart and had to change the switch from the parts car where it makes contact with the mechanical latch that slides. You might be able to get one from a junkyard. It fixed mine. Once you pull it apart you will see what I mean. Let me know if you need some more help.
