Anyone have links to how-to's on replacing rear drum shoes? (93 GXE)

It's easy if you are at all mechanical. Outline:

1) Jack up one side
2) Pull the wheel
3) Just pull of the drum
4) Use brake tool (buy at almost any hardware / auto parts store) to push in and turn the retaining clip. Remove shoes and lay down on ground like they were installed to make sure to install the same way.
5) Spray everything down with a good brake cleaner and wait a few min. to dry. Inspect for brake fluid leaks.
6) Install new brake shoes and use to secure retainer

7) Put jack stand or other suitable item under car and jack up the other side
8) Repease steps 2-6 for the other side

9) Take your drums to an auto parts shop that can check them for wear and remachine them, if necessary. May have to replace if worn too much.
10) Reinstall drums (just push on). You will likely have to compress the small cylinder to get the shoes to be "in" enough to fit on the drum.
11) Reinstall wheels, torque nuts, remove jack stands, etc.
12) Check brake fluid level in reservoir by driver side firewall (on MC)
13) Take a gentle test drive to make sure everything's ok.
14) I usually check the wheel nut torque in a couple days.

That should be it.

I always make sure I have access to another vehicle in case I need other parts / tools. In your case - for sure to run the drums in for check / machining.

Yea I have a 97, the 93 is my younger bro's, and yea I'll get them checked/turned.

For the break tool you can use a pair of pliers. I would use vice-grip pliers if things were getting a little hard to control.
