antenna question....please help

ok like a dumb as when installed my radio i cut off the antenna connector because it wasnt the right plug for my radio....i just cut it off and shoved the wire in there and taped it in place(to stupid and impatient go and look if the sell an adapter)......well yeah my headunit gets power now and the cd works but the radio doesn't work.....so i want to know if i can just get a new wire that connects from the anntena to the radio or do i have to get a whole new anntena assembly??

I am not a big stereo guy but I am pretty sure that all you need is an atenenna adapter. Go to a store like Best Buy or any place which sells car audio and ask them.

antenna

ok, here it is.. you need to either try to "fix" the one you have, or start looking in a junk yard.. unless you really wanna pay to goto nissan for it or something.. as for the adapter that you needed, you can get one at most car stereo stores. i think i paid 9.99 for mine.. just changes from the nissan (2 prong) antenna plug to the standard (1 prong) one.. dang, you shouldn't have cut it!

yeah im an idot for cutting it....anyone got ideas how much its gonna cost me?

when i had my kenwood installed the local chain shop charged me something like $30 to cut and attach the correct but if you got fixit skillz you can probably repair your connector and buy the adapter...

YOU dont have to cut anything

Just pay the 15 for the adaptor and plug it in. You can also wire it to the lighting wire for the old bose ( it used to power the lights in the hU. Its right next to the dimmer wire.
