Ignition Coils

My cousin has a 93 se auto and one of his ignition coil rubber boots were cracked could this be a big problem.
also he was asking me if I knew were he can purchase new coils or used at reasonable prices.

also for general maintance should they be changed or are they for the life of the car.
thank you

this maybe over kill but the change interval id recommend would be around 100k since this is when they started to make my car hesitate but you could just wiat till that happens and then replace them

i bought a set of used coils off ebay but you can buy used ones at auto zone for 60 a piece although i dont think they come with new boots

I also replaced mine with used ones and it stalled my hesitation problems. I don't have a way to test mine, so I just did the "trial and error" thing. I replaced one at a time until it stopped. Been good for several months now.
