Window problems.....

My rear passenger window refuses to stay up....

As much as I try I can't seem to get the window to stay up. The power window control doesn't work for it anymore and I'm afraid the glass will break if i keep messing with it.

Do I need new regulators and new motor?

THanks

Start with a switch, both the affected window and the master. Get em used on ebay. Then the regulator, and motor last. The motor is a small fortune.

refuses to stay up? sounds like regulator, can you hear the motor trying to work when you use it? i very much doubt your motor is bad, if you hear like grinding or snapping or any distressed sound when you try to move it up with the switch its the regulator

I had the same thing happen. You need to take the door panel off and see what is going on before you start buying parts. With the door panel off and the window up cut a 2x2 to the right size to hold the window up to keep out the rain and any thieves out while you figure out what to do. The cable was all screwed up on mine and I will be purchasing a new one off of ebay for around $50. Don't forget to take the stick out when you get it fixed, or you will be starting all over again.
