Suspension problem---help?

Just bought a 92SE. 103k miles.

It kind of bounces and shimmies when braking at low speed. At first I thought it was just warped rotors, but even with brakes off at very low speed it will lift and dance a little at an even interval, but it's less than the interval of a single tire rotation. (??!) There is definite rotor
problem (felt through brake pedal), but also a secondary bouncing at a longer interval.

Would warped rotors account for this behavior? Maybe the struts are worn out also?

Does this sound like something more serious, like bent suspension parts, screwed up chasssis, or bent axle?

I know it is damn near impossible to answer without actually riding in the car---I guess I am mainly asking about how long the struts last. And do rear ones last longer, or should I replace all four at once? Any other
possible ideas to check out?

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Victor
