new o2 sensor

I've decided that im going to change my o2 sensor because of stalling and bad acceleration problems and I was just wondering where I could find the best price on one. I know that they run around about 80 bucks. But I thought I would check and see if anyone knew where to get the best price before I went to buy one. I appreciate any suggestions

Brian (aka Internetautomar) has them and I think his price is pretty close to that. He's a good .org member. Shoot him a PM.

Under the car. It screws into the exhaust pipe right past the firewall.

Ok today I was stopping at burger king and when I took my foot off the brake and started to push the gas the car stalled and went dead but it started right back. I havent changed the o2 sensor yet but I was just going to see if this sounded like a bad o2 sensor to yall or do you think it could be something else before I drop the money for the new sensor

that is not a normal symptom of an o2 being bad.
But if you haven't replaced it in the last 60k then replace it anyhow.

i doubt its the o2 sensor causing the problem. but like the other fella said swapping an old o2 sensor isnt exactly the worst thing you can do for your car if you have the money. Whether it fixes this specific problem or not its a win-win situation, im gonna replace mine soon. is your problem intermittent or consistent, describe the bad acceleration a little more (Does it kinda chug or jerk, just feels bogged down and slower but consistently slower, or is it so bad that it makes everyone behind you think "WTF is his problem?"), and if its a consistnet problem does it run differently when hot and cold, and does it do you notice anything funny at idle like vibrating or fluctuation or stalling or anything ?

Well what I mean about the acceleration is like when you take off it takes the car awhile to get up to speed and it kinda chugs I guess you could say, and it seems like it does it when its hot but the temp guage never shows the the motor is running hot but like after you've drove for about 10 to 15 miles of stop and go driving it will start acting up. Sometimes while idling like at a red right or something the motor will kind of surge I guess you could say, the rpm needle will jump from like 1 to 1 and a half. But one day it will run fine and the next it will act like its going to fall apart. I changed a bad spark plug coil pack that had a crack in it and checked the others, changed the spark plugs, new gas filter, injector cleaner, cleaned throttle body, and changed the oil. I dont know what else to do but try the o2 sensor but if you have any suggestions please let me know.
