I was wondering if someone could give me their advice on getting forged alluminum oversized pistons and then running a big shot of NOS. Right now I'm running about a 50 shot of NOS but I want a little more. Is it gonna be safe to run a higher shot with thinner cylinder walls or should I keep it safe and just replace the original pistons?

Nissan engines are built on the maximum displacement theory. Although they can be bored out for more size its not advised. Not to mention you'll have to get custom pistons. Cha-ching!

Yup.. custom pistons will run you about $200 each.. OUCH.
plus boring out any more of the cylinder walls will net you a weaker block... if you add any more NOS, you're gonna need the strength the thicker walls provide. I'd say just stay with stock engine internals and beef up the tranny. then add more NOS.

I have already found oversized pistons for like $55. I'm going to play it safe and keep the same size pistons anyway. I just want to get a much power as I can NA and then spray it with as much NOS as I can safely. Besides changing pistons, rods, fuel pump, and tranny what else would I have to do to run a big shot? I just want to know about the engine work required, I know of course I'd have to upgrade my ECU. Thanks

92GXE, touring wing, 18” racing wheels, Port&Polished intake, custom intake, custom yellow interior, racing seats, back seats taken out and replaced with subs and amps, NOS kit, Suspension tech. Lowering springs, custom grille, soon to be custom painted and have the whole engine rebuilt for big shot NOS and custom SC and tranny converted to 5-speed.
