My friend has 89 SE 5sp needs:
1. intake: what's a cheaper decent intake (not CAI) and where to get?
2. want decent shock/spring setup for good deal - any recs? (I see the G2s are only about $230 shipped - I've no clue on springs but don't want major stiff or major drop just performance upgrade from stock)

use eibach for springs, they've only got a small drop (1.2")
