Does a 91 maxima gxe auto v6 3.0l have a timing chain or a belt?

 

The VG engine, which you have, is a belt. I believe it should be changed every 60,ooo miles. THIS IS NOT AN OPTION!( Unless you really like engine swaps!)

let me explain very clearly,

the vg from the 89-94 gxe have timing belt,

and the vg from the 89-91 se have timing belt,

the ve from the 92-94 se have the timing chain,

can somebody please make this a sticky,

this question has been asked to my times,

yes the timing belt need to be changed every 60,000 miles or your going to be put in 2,000 for a new/used engine,
