Knock sensor gains?

well, my knock sensor has apparently gone bad (I did a self diagnosis and got a code 34) anyway, Aaron92SE gave me some answers; but I want to ask all the other guys on the org: did you guys notice a difference in performance after you replaced the KS?

IIRC, I believe it's with a resistor. However, I'd HIGHLY recommend against it, as the KS is there to sense detonation so you don't end up with 3.0 liters of slag metal...
