Window won't roll up!

Hey Guys (and Gals)!
I have been hanging out in the 6th Gen forum, but I have a 1990 Max too. For the last couple of months, the drivers side power window has been cranky, working intermitently. Today, the wife unit (it's her car) rolled the window down, but it would not go back up. I know that all cars electrical systems start to fail when they get older. I was just wodering if any of you had experienced problems with the power windows on your cars and what you had to do to fix them. I figure the switch contacts are probably gone after being used a million times. Can you get a new switch or do all the switches get replaced as a module? Would this be a "dealer only" part or are there aftermarket electrical parts available?
Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

its proboly the window regulator but before you replace it put your ear to the door panel, push the window up button and listen for the motor

if oyu here the motor then the regulators bad if you dont here anything than it could be the motor or the switch

theyre really easy to fix yourself with the excellent walkthrough in Craig's FAQ (check out sticky at top of forum). just verify that its the reuglator first by listening for the motor. Or if you want you canjust take the door panel off and see whats going on that way.
