What is the right place to jack my 93 MAX up?

I just got a 2t floor jack from pepboys( the one in their Garage to go kit), when i put it under the front jack point, which is somewhere under the radiator, i can not lift the car with the jack at full height
someone tells me i should use the floor jack at the point for scissors jack and put jack stand on side by side

what kind of jacks are you guys using and how do you lift your max
thanks

i always use the engine cross member as using it on the scissor jack lifting pount bends the metal. not sure if its the safest but i always throw jack stands under the car.

to all max owners always, always, always... always always always always use jack stands when getting under the car... please! don't want any maxima enthusiasts getting crushed now do we...

If the 93 is like the 92. the front jack point is a square pad that is the lowest point in the center of the front, just behind the front bumper. This is the pad that scrapes the ground in a driveway or parking space stop. Since the pad is so far forward, it does take a long throw jack to raise it up.

I had a 2 ton jack.....it was too small to lift on the front jack point, so I sold it and bought a 3-ton. However, you can lift each side on the frame rail and put a jackstand there. It is more tedious though, and I am a lazy man, so I just bought the bigger jack.

a 2 ton jack should have no problem lifting the car, sounds like the jack just doesn't raise it high enough

So outside of the point near the front bumper, are there any jack points to jack up the sides? I had to use the scissor jack a few days ago when changing out my torn splash shield because I didn't want to bend the metal along the side using my 3 ton jack.

I use the frame rails on the Pulsar, but I think you're supposed to.

I can't find any place on the sides of the Max. I'm hoping it's safe to use the frame rails. I need to put the jackstands somewhere.

This is exactly what i have encountered. the metal pad is too far away from the ground, the 2 ton jack has to use 2/3 of the total lift distance to reach the pad.
The rear jack point is find since it located between rear wheels and is close enough to the ground

i dont think u should use the engine cross member ..ive heard of a ve's snaping and ive seen a stanza where the 2 rear crossmember bolts ripped outta the floor pan!! ouch!!.. older american cars crossmember is stronger ..i use the framerails ..i think shops also use them ..and on the rear there is a point on the middle of the main suspension bar right about under the rear dash dead center that gets both rear wheels off ground and i always use jackstands thats why im livin today

Yes, there's a similar square "pad" in the rear, in front of the trunk well, in front of and 1/2 surrrounded by a sheet metal vertical rib, between the rear wheels.
