low oil pressure

I have a 92 maxima se w/ DOHC motor. At a cold start my oil light will come on for a few seconds. It never use to and since it has started it slowly comes on for longer periods of time. I need help on how to fix this problem. I think I have a bad oil pump because when I swapped my motor the pump in it was bad and I put my old pump from old engine in it, and it seems it is slowly going bad. Anyone know what my problem could be? and if it is the oil pump where can I find one for the DOHC motor and not the SOHC one? Thanks

Oh ya... the reason why I'm worried about it is because I hear a very slight tapping noise. My mechanic told me its just normal lifter noise. But I do not want my VTC knocking again. So if my oil pressure is bad, I need a way to fix it, via new oil pump or something to boost oil pressure so my VTC get enough oil.
If anyone has had a oil pressure problem in the ve30de dohc motor or might know what my problem is pls reply a post...I need all the help I can get. I can't seem to find anyone that carries a DOHC oil pump

One thing to test is the actual oil pressure and make sure the sensor (above and in front of the filter) is still good. I've put a new oil pressure sensor in my car due to the warning light coming on and haven't had the oil light come on again.
