Tranny trouble I think.

Ok guys I hope you can help. I think my tranny is messed up. I have a 94 gxe everything is stock. The car is reving realy high between gears (all of them) Most of the time it will not shift till I reach 6000 rpm. I just recently did a tranny flush because it was doing this but only into 2nd. Is my tranny shot? or can it be somethign else? Please help If you guys need any more specific info let me know I would realy love to ge this fixed. I love my Max. Thanks guys.

Yea, many of us auto trans owners feel your pain. Expect to pay $1,500-$1,800 for a rebuild. But it's worth it!! Be sure to add a trans cooler when you get it back.

Think of it this way. Once you rebuild the trans you'll have a car that will rival anything in it's class. Add a trans cooler with Amsoil trans fluid and the car should last for years. How much did you pay for the car and how many miles are on it?

You are now a member of the un-enviable rebuilt tranny club....or will be once you plunk down that $$$...
Mine was $1800 about a year ago, and it feels like it's starting to go again.

Paid $5500 (cdn) Have 273,000 km's on it right now.
I'm pretty close to talking my wife into letting me do a 5 speed swap. It's much cheaper in the long run.
