The mats tag astonished me. 13 years ago $100 was what's about $130 today. The ones they sell at the dealership now are $50. That tells you about the quality of the original 3rd gen mats. I always loved the cushy feeling of these and just recently bought an extra set in mint shape from a guy who parted out his car. Very rare find in good condition.

I have a copy of a scan of a full window sticker (don't have the supplemental thing) somewhere, Brian. Can't find it among all my photos right now.

Umm...I don't think the price indicates the "quality of the original 3rd gen mats," I think it is more an indicator of how ridiculous dealer mark-up can be. Look at the $199 sunroof wind deflector. Is that high quality, too?

I have my OEM tan floormats from my '91, they have MAXIMA stitched into them...I also have a set of great condition black OEM floormats out of an 89-91 GXE, but they didn't have MAXIMA stitched on the 2 fronts ones, it only had this ghetto skidpad on the drivers mat that I ripped off because it was all dirty, now there's just crusty glue beneath it...also, does anyone know why the back 2 floormats don't fit? they always have to go up over the seat bracket and crease

Wow, $24k for a '92 SE back in 92. Didn't think they cost that much back in the day.

These were some pretty high-end cars back in the day. My Maxima is still oogles nicer of a car than my dad's '01 Hyundai.

you do realize that a few years back Mr. Snuffalupagus became known to the rest of sesame street as a "real" character
