I asked a question a few days ago about whether or not there were lights in each of the buttons on the Climate Control console. Mine are dark except for the fresh air vent and the individual lights in the "recirc" and another button I don't remember. My next question is:

How do you replace the lightbulbs in the "Auto", "Econ" and other buttons? Do they just snap off?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You can replace all the bulbs in the dash. I had to remove the ac unit and behind it are the bulbs. good luck getting nissan to help. the ac unit has prescibed bulbs.

as for the other bulbs.,..you have to pullout the whole switch units and replace the bulbs with nonnissan stuff, its a pain but its worth it. email me if you have questions. .

Hey man, :-)
U have to take out the climate controller, - to do that remove the plastic around the radio and climate controller, there a 4 phillips screws, 2 below ashtray, 2 above radio, then there are 4 screws holding the climate controller in. Push it back wards and in - u will see when u take it apart, then u have to remove the cold air face lever on the side, there are 2 screws on the back of the lever holding it on to the climate controler, unclip the wires that power the lights on the lever too.
When u have the controller out, if u turn it around u will c the little LED's that just clip-fit into the circuit board. These are easliy removed, and are the lights that make the writing light up. u have to take the controller fully aprt to get at some, but its easily done. All of mine have blown, i think they just wear out..... try wiggling them when u first take it out then hook the wires back up and just try it because sometimes they turn loose.... Nissan should be able to supply the little LEDs. Good luck.

Be sure when you orderthe bulbs for the Ac unit, which you can, that you get extra bulbs. They can be used for all the switches that have bulbs that have burned out. Nissan doesnt show that any of the switches even hav bulbs on the dash so be sure to get extra for those.i never could figiure how to replace the bulb in the hardard switch and cruise control switch.

Be sure also to keep the plastic colored bulb cover from the original switches. Good luck
