4th and 5th Gen Wheels

Sup. My max's wheels look really bad and need tires too. For you guys with 4th and 5th gen bigger 16' and 17' rims and wider tires, are they straight bolt-ons or do they need spacers to clear the struts. I noticed the offsets of the wheels are different too.

My car is bone stock for now. Just want the wheels to look decent. Thanks.

I know the 16s (4th and 5th gen) will bolt right on without any modification. Not sure about the 17s though

I am pretty sure they are straight bolt ons, but if you plan on doing any BBK or something then you might need spacers.

I saw some 6 spoke 5th gen 17's on a car yesterday and they looked sweet. Also check out 94-2k4 mustang GT or Cobra 17x8 rims, they are pretty easy to come by and are reasonable.

i had the 5th gen 17s on my car last year. they fit perfect without any spacers or centering rings.

i liked the way they looked even without the ride being lowered.

Thanks for the inputs. Cool rides these are. I think I like the Nissan ones better than the Mustang rims. They looks nice.

Hey, I got my self promoted to "read FAQ" status. Way to go.

i work at a parking lot and i see those new nissans with 6 spoke 17' alloys and i like them so much, but they're kinda hard to come by, and they don't go for cheaps.. even aftermarket rims might be cheaper...

what size tires should i get for those if i do find a set? i wanna keep speedo errors to a minimum..

to keep the speedo closest to spec you need to run 215/50/17 i believe. however i'd suggest 225/50/17.
