Massive Car Problems

Hey Maxima owners, I need some help with my car, it recently died on the highway goin about 65mph, the car just stopped pulling, i was cruising and i noticed my speed is just kept slowing down while i saw cars past by me. I'm not really too car iliterate but this one guy said the timing belt is broken, and i know thats a bad thing, but i heard that the ve30de motors use a timing chain. So can my engine even be fixed because the timing is off?

Its a 1992 Auto Se, when it died, I pulled onto the shoulder, and tried to jumpstart it when a friend came, it didnt start. When i got it home, it starts but, when i try to change it to a different gear to get out of park, it just dies. The engine was still running but i turned it off on the shoulder.

start with checking charging voltage.
it may be too low.
also check to see that all your belts are there

I towed it home with my dad drivin his truck and me in the maxima in D drive, used those 2 brackets they have near the front under the car. Worked pretty well.

Okay I got some bad news. I found out after startin the car there was a oil leak. I haven't got time to look for it yet because of school and I dont know where its safe to raise the max from down under.
